A 1.1.a Start LUPMIS as Application
Step 1: This step depends on the your installation of MySQL. If MySQL has been installed as 'Service' in step 1.1 of the installation (A 1.1.1), no need to do anything here, because MySQL is already running. If not, you have to fire up xampp control panel and start MySQL: Click on desktop shortcut 'XAMPP Control Panel'
It should change to following screen (or similar). MySQL must be green. You can close this window.
If there are problems to make the modules of MySQL run (i.e. to appear in green), start XAMPP by right-mouse click > Run as administrator
.
Step 2: On your desktop, click on shortcut 'Map Maker':
The first time, you might have to re-enter the Map Maker licence code again.
Step 3: Click on desktop shortcut 'LUPMIS Tools',
Enter your staff initials and your password, select if you want to access the database on your stand-alone workstation, on the LAN or on the Internet:
After authorization from the database, you can 'Enter LUPMIS Tools':
Because LUPMIS work often involves working both on the menu screen and on the GIS, it is recommended to set up the two windows on your desktop next to each other:
