2.8 Split Polygon

You can split a polygon into two (or more) subunits with the
Cutter-tool at the toolbar left.



1. Start
outside the polygon with left-clicking.
2. You can click inside the polygon according the clipping route.
3. You have to end the clipping
outside with the right-mouse.

Be sure, that you set the cutter options to retain all values after cutting (polygon IDs, style, label). See Annex 1.1.6 for setting the cutter options. If it is not set accordingly, you will loose style numbers and labels.

Note: If a database is attached to the feature, see Chapter 4 for specific considerations. Therefore, you have to save the database separately beforehand, and join it again (see Chapter 4.xxx)
