8.5.2.4 Import GIS Data

Level of expertise required for this Chapter: Intermediate; specifically for LUPMIS @ TCPD


It is recommended that once you have produced a Local Plan (digitizing, assigning UPN and addresses), you import this Local Plan with all its parcels to the Permit Database: Permit Tools > Entry > Import GIS data and select the Local Plan:



This will import Local Plan name, address, planning zone, coordinates, and will also check with the Address Database, if these data have already been transferred (which in default should have been already when the addresses are generated).

This can be checked, for example, through Permit Tools > Parcel > List / Map > Tick on 'Coordinates, Local Plan...'. These data appear in the listing, including references to display each parcel in Map Maker, QGIS, Google Maps or OpenStreetMap, either as a point or as parcel (polygon):
