5.4.6 Change a Shape File to GPX

For the conversion of
DRA or SHP files to GPX format, you have to go through KML:

1. If
DRA file to be converted: In Map Maker, export it to SHP format (Main menu > Utilities > Vector utilities > Export files > to ArcView Shape file). (See also Chapter 5.4.4).

2. With
Shp2kml, convert the SHP file to KML format (see Annex 7 for GIS utilities, and installation).

3. With
GpsBabel, convert the file from KML (Input format: Google Earth Keyhole Markup Language) to GPX (Output format: GPX XML). (See again Annex 7 for installation of GpsBabel).
