5.3.1 Batch-convert Raster Images

Level of expertise required for this Chapter: Expert

If you have many files in TIF / TFW format, it will speed up your process of their conversion to LUPMIS format using following batch commands. With this, you can easily process 100-200 files per hour.

1.
Copy/split to different folders: TIF / TFW

2. OmniFormat to convert TIF --> BMP: Add folder > Start monitoring, after: Stop

3. 14aren-Rename.exe: TFW --> BPW: Select folder > Extension > Rename > ... > Start

4. Join in 1 folder

5. Map Maker: Batch conversion BMP / BPW --> JPG / MM: Utilities > Bitmap utilities > Convert file format > Convert multiple files > Select folder > Select all (Crtl-A) > Open > Select target folder > JPG - MM calibration > OK

6. Check in MM

7. Copy to folder with format: Kasoa_photos_2009_2x1

8. 14aren-Rename.exe: Indent 0 between xxx and yyy (if necessary)

9. 14aren-Rename.exe: Indent specs in format _2009_2x1_20 (after xxxyyyy)

10. Create index file with format: Kasoa_photos2009_index_2x1.dra

11. Backup

12. Resample to 6x3, 12x6, 24x12 km schemes
