2.9 Merge Lines from Different Layers

Level of expertise required for this Chapter: Beginner

1. You first load all lines in Map Maker, then copy them one-by-one to the live layer:
Right-mouse > Project manager > Project manager window: Add layer > Select folder and file name of line map > Open > Copy layer to live layer > Repeat this process for all lines to be merged > OK

2. Check, that all lines, which should be continuous, snap to each other:
Right-mouse at the end of a vertex (‘corner’) > Edit vertex window: Action > Snap vertex to nearest vertex > OK > Repeat this process for all line ends (‘corners’) to form a continuous line

Main menu > Edit > Save live layer

Note: If the merged lines are with a database attached, see Chapter 4 for specific considerations.
